We are so excited about this years pageant at the Heartland Festival. Miss Hardee County will facilitate the pageant and all net proceeds from the registrations will benefit their organization.

2023 Heartland Pumpkin Princess Pageant Information

​

Dates & times:

• Ages 3-5 will begin at 2:00 pm on Sunday October 22nd, 2023

• Ages 6-8 will begin at 3:00 pm on Sunday October 22nd, 2023

• Ages 9-12 will begin at 4:00 pm on Sunday October 22nd, 2023

• A mandatory dress rehearsal will take place on Thursday, October 19th. They do not have to wear their dresses to the rehearsal.

  • This year we will be taking pictures of your little princesses at the dress rehearsal for a Photogenic Contest.  

  • Ages 3-5 will begin at 5:30 pm

  • Ages 6-8 will begin at 6:30 pm 

  • Ages 9-12 will begin at 7:30 pm

 

Requirements: 

• Age 3-5:  Child must have turned 3 years old and be under 6 years of age on the contest date to qualify. 

• Ages 6-8:  Child must have turned 6 years old and be under 9 years of age on the contest date to qualify.

• Ages 9-12:  Child must have turned 9 years old and be under 13 years of age on the contest date to qualify.

• If your child won the Pumpkin Princess title last year they will not be eligible to compete in this year's pageant.

 

Awards & Prizes:

• There will be a winner, 1st runner up, 2nd runner up and a 3rd runner up for all age groups.

• The pumpkin princesses will receive a special gift basket, the pumpkin court will also get a special gift and all participants will be given a prize bag. 

 

Events:

• Each contestant will be called and introduced with the information on the registration application.  The contestant will walk across the stage, stand briefly in front of the judges and walk off the stage.  Ages 6 – 8 and 9-12 will also be asked a simple question on stage.  The questions will be given to you at the dress rehearsal.

• Judging will be based on appearance, personality and communication skills - both verbal and non-verbal

 

Dress code:

• Dress must be pumpkin themed and include orange.   We are looking for fancy, princess-like dresses!

• Age-appropriate dresses only.  

• No strapless or exposed midriff.

 

Registration Information:

• Registration is $40 and will be open to the first 20 paid registrations for each age group. ​​

• The deadline to sign up is October 14th or when we receive 20 paid registrations for each age group. 

​

Each contestant will get 2 tickets to the Heartland Festival for free admission to the pageant at the dress rehearsal. Additional tickets may be purchased at the ticket booth the day of the pageant.

Limited wooden bench seating and picnic tables will be available.  Feel free to bring chairs if you would like as well for you or for your guests.
